Work continues on finishing the O Block extension ahead of the planned completion date next month. Window joinery and glazing installation is continuing – along the ground floor corridor it should be brighter and more pleasant with glazing going in meaning some of the construction hoardings were been removed.

Work continues to go well at Otago Polytechnic. The milestone of completing the roof on the second wing of the new O Block extension is in sight, with the new roofing iron on the main roof section now complete. Wall framing will continue along the last structural steel installation in the coming week.

The roof is being installed on the new O Block extension building. The first floor concrete pour was completed on Monday as planned, meaning work can progress steadily now on both floors.

The Te Pā Tauira – Otago Polytechnic Student Village won a Silver award in the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards held in Auckland last night. The very excited team made up of Otago Polytechnic and their consultant team celebrated in style.
Otago Polytechnic celebrated the opening of its $1.5m redevelopment of its Bannockburn site this week. Students will start using the new facilities in early 2019. We had a fantastic night at the Property Council New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknall Property Council Industry Awards 2018 on Friday, with the Otago Polytechnic Student Village project receiving two awards. Excellence, Resene Green Building Property Award Merit, Arrow International Multi-Unit Residential Property Award Well done team!
The slab pour occurred this week for the new Central Campus development at the Bannockburn Road site. Prior to this, the site was blessed by Francie Diver of Alexandra.

Construction has commenced on the student accommodation stand alone houses in Cromwell. The Otago Polytechnic 5 bed-roomed residential dwellings will be completed late February 2018. These purpose built homes are located in the heart of the Cromwell OP Campus.

The West Wing roof of the Otago Polytechnic Student Village was completed this week, and the services continue to be installed in the 5 floors on this Wing. Today the Dunedin Mayor, Dave Cull, and Councillors Marie Laufiso, Jim O’Malley and Lee Vandervis took the opportunity to view progress.
Logic Group recently sponsored a Property Council event on site at the Otago Polytechnic. 40 plus people were taken on site to review the student accommodation project progress, and learn more about the sustainability functions of the building. Afterwards Sam Cadden (Logic Director) answered questions at the Polytechnic Hub.

The polystyrene insulation sheets and steel reinforcing are being secured into place today ahead of the first foundation pour. It is envisaged that the pour will go ahead tomorrow. Next week will be a busy one on site as the CLT panels will be delivered from Monday onwards.
