Work continues to go well at Otago Polytechnic.  The milestone of completing the roof on the second wing of the new O Block extension is in sight, with the new roofing iron on the main roof section now complete. Wall framing will continue along the last structural steel installation in the coming week.

The fourth, third and second floor bedrooms of Hayward College now have furniture in them, thanks to the hard work of all Contractors on site. The project is on schedule, and the last two weeks are going to continue to be as fast paced as the last ten!

The internal fit-out of Maniototo Hospital is on its final days of completion. Over the next few weeks the services will be commissioned,  furniture installed and landscaping completed.

Reducing the amount of waste on site at Hayward College has been part of the planning from day one. Timber and metal are being recycled, even the concrete and terracotta is avoiding the landfill and being reused on farm tracks and alike.

Otago Polytechnic celebrated the opening of its $1.5m redevelopment of its Bannockburn site this week. Students will start using the new facilities in early 2019. The Mercy Hospital Car park was completed and handed over on 10th August 2018. On Saturday 11 August, at 9.30am, it was officially opened with a walk-in preview and blessing.

External condition surveys were undertaken this week for the Dunedin City Council.  Heritage Architects, Structural Engineers and a Stonemason consultant were lifted over and around the Dunedin Town Hall and Municipal chambers assessing the building structure. Reports are due soon.

The slab pour occurred this week for the new Central Campus development at the Bannockburn Road site. Prior to this, the site was blessed by Francie Diver of Alexandra.

Mercy Hospital Car Park, Logic Group, Level 4, Forsyth Barr House, 165 Stuart Street Dunedin 9058

Good progress is being made on the new Mercy Hospital car park.   There will be 96 car parks once the development has been completed. The majority of the excavation is now complete and the installation of the under-slab stormwater pipework has progressed. This project has a completion date of 31st July 2018.
